Assistant Coordinator



Next Chapter Weddings will be accepting applications now through March 6th for an Assistant Coordinator position.


The Ideal Candidate for the position posses the following qualities:

  • Available to work at least one weekend day per month.

  • Reliable Transportation (Must be willing to travel throughout the Greater Houston Area on wedding days.)

  • Assertive Leader and Problem Solver (sees a need and fills it without being told)

  • Ability to work independently... as well as in a team!   

  • Ability to seamlessly and effectively prioritize multiple tasks at one time  

  • Guest oriented & friendly; good eye contact, poised posture, etc.   

  • Goal Oriented 

  • Social Media Savvy (must be comfortable recording quality videos for reels).

  • Cheerful Spirit (we smile a lot at NCW!)

  • Must be willing to write a blog/recap of your events.

  • Professional appearance; proper grooming, well dressed, chic hair, make-up, etc.   

  • Looking to become a long-term team member 

  • Familiar with Google Suite (we do a lot on Google!)

  • Can stand up to 12 hours.

  • Can lift 50 lbs.


Job Description:

  • Assist with and overseeing the correct set-up of the ceremony and reception site(s) 

  • Assist VIP’s throughout the course of the event

  • Be available to wedding guests to answer their questions and assist them as needed (i.e. gentleman spills sauce on his jacket, lady spills red wine on her skirt/shoes, someone is feeling ill and needs attention, etc.)

  • Direct guests to appropriate areas as needed throughout the evening (i.e. restroom, exits, parking, bar, etc.)

  • Assist vendors with their set-up by being close at hand to answer questions with regards to product placement

  • Be a resource to the Bride & Groom with regards to what’s happening next in the schedule

  • Oversee and assist with set up and tear down of wedding décor items (linens, charger plates, escort cards, place cards, favors, chair covers, etc.)

  • Maintain the schedule and coordinate the time line for all special events throughout the reception

  • Trouble-shoot issues as the arise

  • Execute wedding day timeline

  • Record videos of special moments and behind the scenes of the NCW Team.

  • Write a recap Blog of the event.

  • Assist Lead Coordinator in all projects.
